Butler Family Foundation Announces Fall Grants

The Patrick and Aimee Butler Family Foundation is pleased to announce its grants for fall 2023. Grants were awarded through the foundation's Special Projects and Community Grants Programs and supported organizations working in chemical dependency, domestic and family violence, housing and homelessness, and efforts to assist prostituted and trafficked people.

Special Projects Grants

Special Projects Grants provide major support for capital campaigns, program innovations, and systems-change initiatives.

  • FamilyWise Services: $125,000 to reduce racial disparities in the child protection system.
  • The Trust for Public Land: $100,000 to create a Community Schoolyard in Brooklyn Center.
  • Tubman: $125,000 for the Great Dreams Campaign.

Community Grants

Community grants are two-year grants for general operating support or specific projects or programs.

Chemical Dependency

  • Avivo: $60,000 for Family Intensive Outpatient Recovery.
  • CLUES: Comunidades Latinas Unidas en Servicio: $50,000 for chemical health programs.
  • Emma Norton Services: $65,000 for general operating support.
  • Minnesota Recovery Connection: $60,000 for general operating support.
  • Proof Alliance: $40,000 to support women during and after pregnancy.
  • Wayside Recovery Center: $70,000 for general operating support.

Domestic and Family Violence

  • Asian Women United of Minnesota: $60,000 for general operating support.
  • Division of Indian Work: $40,000 for the Family Violence Prevention Program.
  • Domestic Abuse Project: $100,000 for general operating support.
  • Esperanza United: $85,000 for general operating support.
  • FamilyWise Services: $110,000 for general operating support.
  • Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery: $85,000 for general operating support.
  • La Oportunidad: $50,000 for Breaking the Cycle of Violence.
  • Northland Foundation: $100,000 for grantmaking in northeastern Minnesota.
  • Saint Paul & Ramsey County Domestic Abuse Intervention Project: $65,000 for the Bridges to Safety Victim Service Center.
  • Tubman: $100,000 for general operating support.
  • Women's Advocates: $60,000 for general operating support.

Housing and Homelessness

  • Agate Housing & Services: $85,000 for general operating support.
  • Ain Dah Yung Center: $70,000 for general operating support.
  • Amherst H. Wilder Foundation: $60,000 for Family Supportive Housing Services.
  • Avenues for Youth: $95,000 for general operating support.
  • Family Housing Fund: $100,000 for general operating support.
  • Hope Community: $75,000 for general operating support.
  • Jeremiah Program: $85,000 for general operating support.
  • Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota: $80,000 for Metro Homeless Youth Services.
  • Model Cities: $60,000 for general operating support.
  • Neighborhood House: $70,000 for the Housing Stability Program.
  • People Serving People Charities: $65,000 for general operating support.
  • Project for Pride in Living: $150,000 for general operating support.
  • Solid Ground: $85,000 for general operating support.
  • The Bridge for Youth: $100,000 for general operating support.

  • 180 Degrees: $60,000 for Brittany's Place.
  • Breaking Free: $100,000 for general operating support.
  • Coalition Against Trafficking in Women: $80,000 for general operating support.

  • The Link: $60,000 for Safe Harbor Programs.
